Software Engineer – Back End/API

What you would do in this role:

  • Work on a cross-functional team to add value for our customers
  • Build out our RESTful Web API to support new features for our web and mobile clients
  • Build and support our automated API test suite to ensure the quality of our API
  • Establish best practices with team members to align the long-term vision of the application

What you need to know/have for this role:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience required.
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Software design principles and patterns, multi-tier and microservice-oriented architecture.
  • Understanding of horizontal scalability, functional programming, HTTP/REST, unit, integration, and load testing.
  • Strong grasp and relevant experience with:
    • C# and the .NET ecosystem
    • ASP.NET Web API
    • Dependency injection
    • T-SQL, SQL Server, and optimization of SQL queries
  • Multi-tasker extraordinaire
  • Plays well with others
  • Rolls easily with an ever-changing environment

Physical/Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc., and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
