Software Engineer - Front End

What you would do in this role:

  • Estimate effort for architecture, design, and development tasks
  • Design new features and services using exciting new technologies
  • Help migrate existing ASP.NET WebForms product codebase to Angular.js
  • Evangelize best practices across a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Collaborate with co-workers to establish frontend conventions, principles, and patterns
  • Work with UX team to implement and bring to life mocks and designs


What you need to know/have for this role:

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Experience working with at least one Javascript MVC framework
  • Experience working with single-page applications
  • Experience developing against REST web services
  • Multi-tasker extraordinaire
  • Plays well with others
  • Rolls easily with an ever changing environment


Even more Ideally:

  • LESS or SASS CSS preprocessor experience
  • TypeScript
  • Angular.js experience
  • Passionate for UX design and implementation
  • ASP.NET WebForms and/or .NET MVC experience
  • Grunt, Yeoman or Gulp experience


Physical/Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc., and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
